User Account Settings

Your Gateway can be set up with as many user accounts as you need, so you can control who has access and what each person can do.

From User Accounts, you can:

  • Add new users
  • View a list of existing users
  • See a permission overview for each user (shown as letters that represent permissions)

Add a New User

  1. Go to User Accounts
  2. Click Add New User
  3. Enter the user’s details (username, email, etc.)
  4. Assign the correct permissions
  5. Click Save

Edit a User’s Info and Permissions

  1. From User Accounts, click the user you want to manage
  2. Update user information (most fields can be edited, but the username cannot)
  3. Review and adjust the permissions section

Permissions are highly detailed. If a checkbox is enabled at a top level, the user will have access to everything underneath it. You can expand sections to enable only specific capabilities.

Example:

  • Allow Virtual Terminal access, but restrict to credit card sales only
  • Disable electronic check access so the user cannot run ACH transactions

Administrative Options

One permission to be especially careful with is Administrative Options.

This controls whether a user can access the Settings area and manage gateway-level configuration, including user accounts.

If you do not want a user to edit settings or permissions, keep Administrative Options turned off.

Processor Access

If your account has multiple processors, you can restrict which processors a user can access. If you only have one processor, this section may not appear because all users will use the same processor by default.

User Email Notifications

Each user can have their own email notification settings, such as:

  • Transaction receipts (email on approvals)
  • Batch upload summaries
  • Settlement summaries
  • Recurring billing summaries

These can be turned on or off per user depending on their role.

Resend Login Email

If a user forgets their password:

  1. Open the user account
  2. Click Resend Welcome Email: A password reset link will be sent to the user’s email address.

Remove a User

To revoke access:

  1. Open the user account
  2. Click Delete User
  3. Confirm the deletion

The user will no longer be able to log in.
