Why do Credit Card Transactions Cecline?

Credit card transactions can decline for many reasons, including insufficient funds, incorrect card information, issuer bank security controls, expired cards, or transaction patterns that do not align with expected behavior.

Declines can also occur due to risk checks, geographic inconsistencies, or restrictions set by the issuing bank. A decline does not necessarily indicate a problem with the merchant or the customer.

Decline decisions are most often made by the issuing bank, not by Easy Pay Direct.
