Swiping Credit Cards Through the Easy Pay Direct Gateway (Windows)

To run card-present (swipe) transactions through the Easy Pay Direct Gateway, you will use the Gateway Swipe application on a supported Windows computer and a supported encrypted card reader.

  • Windows Vista, 7, 8.0, 8.1, 10

Install Gateway Swipe (Windows)

Before you begin: plug your USB card reader into your computer.

  1. Download the installer
    Download and open Gateway Swipe Installer.exe
  2. Accept the license
    Click I Agree
  3. Install the software
    Choose an install location (the default is recommended), then click Install
  4. Finish setup
    Click Close when installation completes

You will now see a desktop icon called Gateway Swipe, and the app will also be added to your Windows startup.

Run a Swipe Transaction

  1. Open Gateway Swipe
  2. The first time you launch it, enter your Gateway username (plus any optional fields shown)
  3. Swipe the card when prompted
  4. Enter the sale amount and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transaction

Tip: You can close the window using the X to hide it. The app will stay running in your taskbar and will automatically pop up when a card is swiped.
