How to Set-up QuickClick Transactions

QuickClick is a hosted checkout and shopping cart tool built into every full Easy Pay Direct Gateway account. It lets you generate payment buttons or links you can place on almost any website so customers can pay you through a secure, Gateway-hosted checkout page.

What You Can Create With QuickClick

From the Button Generator, you can create three button types:

  • Fixed Price Button
    Customer checks out for one set amount every time.
  • Donation Button
    Customer chooses the amount they want to pay.
  • Shopping Cart Button
    Customer can add multiple items to a cart and check out once.

Create a Fixed Price Button (Most Common)

  1. Go to QuickClick → Button Generator
  2. Select Fixed Price Button
  3. Enter the two required fields:
    • Item Description (what the customer sees)
    • Item Price (include cents)
  4. Optional settings you can add:
    • Language (English or Spanish)
    • Finish URL (where customers go after the receipt page)
      • Make sure the URL includes http:// or https://
  5. Leave Key Verification on (recommended) to help prevent edited payment amounts
  6. Click Create Button

You will receive:

  • Button code (HTML) to paste into your website, and
  • A link URL you can use instead of the button

You only need to use one option (code or link).

Create a Shopping Cart Button (Multiple Items)

Shopping cart buttons are similar to fixed price buttons but include:

  • Item ID (required for cart items)
  • Cart-related URLs (optional):
    • Cancel URL (clears the cart)
    • Continue URL (continue shopping)
    • Finish URL (after payment is complete)

Optional extras:

  • Shipping per unit (multiplies by quantity)
  • Product options (like size, color, custom message)

What Customers See at Checkout

  1. Customer clicks your button or link
  2. They enter customer details and continue
  3. They confirm item description and amount
  4. They enter payment info and complete checkout
  5. They receive a receipt page, including a Continue link if you set a Finish URL

Customize the Checkout Experience

QuickClick includes settings that apply to all buttons:

  • Look and Feel
    • Create profiles to adjust colors, page headers/footers, and branding
    • Add a logo using a Header URL (image link)
  • Customer Information
    • Set fields as required, optional, or hidden
  • Payment Methods
    • Enable credit cards and/or electronic checks
  • Security
    • Keep security key verification enabled (recommended)
    • Enable CAPTCHA verification to reduce bot checkouts
  • Tax and Shipping (Shopping Cart Only)
    • Configure tax rates by location
    • Set shipping thresholds and optional shipping speed markups
  • Surcharging (If enabled on your Gateway)
    • Apply default surcharge settings across QuickClick buttons

Two Important Notes

  • Settings changes apply to all buttons, including ones you already created. You do not need to regenerate buttons after changing your settings.
  • When you generate a button, the Gateway does not save the code for you. The button will still work, but you should save the code or link somewhere secure for future use.
