If you want to reverse a transaction the same day, you should VOID the transaction. Refunds are used if you want to reverse a transaction any time after the initial day of the transaction.
To refund a transaction
(make sure you are logged in to your account)
- Click Refund(In the left column, either under Electronic Check or under Credit Card – depending on the type of transaction you are refunding)
- Enter the Transaction ID(If you don’t have the transaction ID, you can search for the transaction by clicking on the magnifying glass icon.)
Enter the amount you would like to refund (By default the Easy Pay Direct system will enter the amount of the original transaction.)
Check the box next to Send Receipt Email if you want an email sent.
Click the “Refund” button
