New Transaction

New Transaction enables users to create an ACH Transaction on their customer's behalf as one-time or recurring payments. NACHA requires authorization for ACH transactions.

• Merchant DBA: Select the Merchant DBA for the transaction.
• Account Type: Select if the customer's account is a checking or saving.
• SEC Code: A SEC code is a three-letter code that describes how the ACH transaction was authorized by the consumer or business receiving an ACH transaction. You can only select from your approved SEC codes.
• CCD - Corporate Credit or Debit Entry
• PPD - Prearranged Payment and Deposit
• WEB - Internet Initiated/Mobile Entry
• TEL - Telephone-Initiated Entry
• Transaction Type: Select Credit or Debit.
• Debit - Removes funds from the customer account and funds to the business account.
• Credit - Removes funds from the business account to fund credit to the customer.
• Transaction Information: Please enter the amount, Bank Routing and Account numbers, Account name, etc.
• User Transaction Date: When the system will submit the transaction to the banking network for processing. If the transaction date is on a weekend or holiday, it will be picked up and presented on the next business day.
• Billing Contact Info: Enter the billing information for your customer.

At the bottom of the page, set the radio button for whether this is a one-time or recurring transaction.

Recurring

If recurring is selected, more fields will display to set up the frequency of the recurring schedule. The "begin date" is when the recurring payment starts and continues based on the scheduled frequency.

Please note: A one-time charge will occur on the transaction date, and the recurring payment will start on the beginning date. These should not be on the same date.

For example, if wanting to set up a monthly recurring charge on the 1st of every month, set the transaction date for the 1st and the beginning date for the following month on the 1st.

If a transaction in a recurring ACH transaction series is returned, the recurring subscription will be canceled. The recurring series will need to be set up again to reinstate.
